CVE-2018-1318 | 2 Apache, Debian | 2 Traffic Server, Debian Linux | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
Adding method ACLs in remap.config can cause a segfault when the user makes a carefully crafted request. This affects versions Apache Traffic Server (ATS) 6.0.0 to 6.2.2 and 7.0.0 to 7.1.3. To resolve this issue users running 6.x should upgrade to 6.2.3 or later versions and 7.x users should upgrade to 7.1.4 or later versions.
CVE-2018-1312 | 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more | 14 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 11 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 9.8 CRITICAL |
In Apache httpd 2.2.0 to 2.4.29, when generating an HTTP Digest authentication challenge, the nonce sent to prevent reply attacks was not correctly generated using a pseudo-random seed. In a cluster of servers using a common Digest authentication configuration, HTTP requests could be replayed across servers by an attacker without detection.
CVE-2018-1311 | 5 Apache, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 10 Xerces-c\+\+, Debian Linux, Fedora and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.1 HIGH |
The Apache Xerces-C 3.0.0 to 3.2.3 XML parser contains a use-after-free error triggered during the scanning of external DTDs. This flaw has not been addressed in the maintained version of the library and has no current mitigation other than to disable DTD processing. This can be accomplished via the DOM using a standard parser feature, or via SAX using the XERCES_DISABLE_DTD environment variable.
CVE-2018-1308 | 2 Apache, Debian | 2 Solr, Debian Linux | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
This vulnerability in Apache Solr 1.2 to 6.6.2 and 7.0.0 to 7.2.1 relates to an XML external entity expansion (XXE) in the `&dataConfig=<inlinexml>` parameter of Solr's DataImportHandler. It can be used as XXE using file/ftp/http protocols in order to read arbitrary local files from the Solr server or the internal network.
CVE-2018-1305 | 4 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 1 more | 6 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.0 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
Security constraints defined by annotations of Servlets in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.4, 8.5.0 to 8.5.27, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.49 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.84 were only applied once a Servlet had been loaded. Because security constraints defined in this way apply to the URL pattern and any URLs below that point, it was possible - depending on the order Servlets were loaded - for some security constraints not to be applied. This could have exposed resources to users who were not authorised to access them.
CVE-2018-1304 | 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more | 11 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 8 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
The URL pattern of "" (the empty string) which exactly maps to the context root was not correctly handled in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.4, 8.5.0 to 8.5.27, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.49 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.84 when used as part of a security constraint definition. This caused the constraint to be ignored. It was, therefore, possible for unauthorised users to gain access to web application resources that should have been protected. Only security constraints with a URL pattern of the empty string were affected.
CVE-2018-1303 | 4 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 1 more | 7 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
A specially crafted HTTP request header could have crashed the Apache HTTP Server prior to version 2.4.30 due to an out of bound read while preparing data to be cached in shared memory. It could be used as a Denial of Service attack against users of mod_cache_socache. The vulnerability is considered as low risk since mod_cache_socache is not widely used, mod_cache_disk is not concerned by this vulnerability.
CVE-2018-1301 | 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more | 8 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
A specially crafted request could have crashed the Apache HTTP Server prior to version 2.4.30, due to an out of bound access after a size limit is reached by reading the HTTP header. This vulnerability is considered very hard if not impossible to trigger in non-debug mode (both log and build level), so it is classified as low risk for common server usage.
CVE-2018-1283 | 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more | 8 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 3.5 LOW | 5.3 MEDIUM |
In Apache httpd 2.4.0 to 2.4.29, when mod_session is configured to forward its session data to CGI applications (SessionEnv on, not the default), a remote user may influence their content by using a "Session" header. This comes from the "HTTP_SESSION" variable name used by mod_session to forward its data to CGIs, since the prefix "HTTP_" is also used by the Apache HTTP Server to pass HTTP header fields, per CGI specifications.
CVE-2018-1270 | 4 Debian, Oracle, Redhat and 1 more | 28 Debian Linux, Application Testing Suite, Big Data Discovery and 25 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
Spring Framework, versions 5.0 prior to 5.0.5 and versions 4.3 prior to 4.3.15 and older unsupported versions, allow applications to expose STOMP over WebSocket endpoints with a simple, in-memory STOMP broker through the spring-messaging module. A malicious user (or attacker) can craft a message to the broker that can lead to a remote code execution attack.
CVE-2018-1152 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Libjpeg-turbo | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libjpeg-turbo | 2024-11-21 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
libjpeg-turbo 1.5.90 is vulnerable to a denial of service vulnerability caused by a divide by zero when processing a crafted BMP image.
CVE-2018-1130 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more | 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.9 MEDIUM | 5.5 MEDIUM |
Linux kernel before version 4.16-rc7 is vulnerable to a null pointer dereference in dccp_write_xmit() function in net/dccp/output.c in that allows a local user to cause a denial of service by a number of certain crafted system calls.
CVE-2018-1129 | 4 Ceph, Debian, Opensuse and 1 more | 10 Ceph, Debian Linux, Leap and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | 3.3 LOW | 6.5 MEDIUM |
A flaw was found in the way signature calculation was handled by cephx authentication protocol. An attacker having access to ceph cluster network who is able to alter the message payload was able to bypass signature checks done by cephx protocol. Ceph branches master, mimic, luminous and jewel are believed to be vulnerable.
CVE-2018-1128 | 3 Debian, Opensuse, Redhat | 10 Debian Linux, Leap, Ceph and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.4 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
It was found that cephx authentication protocol did not verify ceph clients correctly and was vulnerable to replay attack. Any attacker having access to ceph cluster network who is able to sniff packets on network can use this vulnerability to authenticate with ceph service and perform actions allowed by ceph service. Ceph branches master, mimic, luminous and jewel are believed to be vulnerable.
CVE-2018-1126 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Procps-ng Project and 2 more | 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Procps-ng and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 HIGH | 4.8 MEDIUM |
procps-ng before version 3.3.15 is vulnerable to an incorrect integer size in proc/alloc.* leading to truncation/integer overflow issues. This flaw is related to CVE-2018-1124.
CVE-2018-1125 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Opensuse and 1 more | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Leap and 1 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
procps-ng before version 3.3.15 is vulnerable to a stack buffer overflow in pgrep. This vulnerability is mitigated by FORTIFY, as it involves strncat() to a stack-allocated string. When pgrep is compiled with FORTIFY (as on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Fedora), the impact is limited to a crash.
CVE-2018-1124 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Opensuse and 3 more | 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Leap and 6 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.6 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
procps-ng before version 3.3.15 is vulnerable to multiple integer overflows leading to a heap corruption in file2strvec function. This allows a privilege escalation for a local attacker who can create entries in procfs by starting processes, which could result in crashes or arbitrary code execution in proc utilities run by other users.
CVE-2018-1123 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Procps-ng Project | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Procps-ng | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 3.9 LOW |
procps-ng before version 3.3.15 is vulnerable to a denial of service in ps via mmap buffer overflow. Inbuilt protection in ps maps a guard page at the end of the overflowed buffer, ensuring that the impact of this flaw is limited to a crash (temporary denial of service).
CVE-2018-1122 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Procps-ng Project | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Procps-ng | 2024-11-21 | 4.4 MEDIUM | 7.3 HIGH |
procps-ng before version 3.3.15 is vulnerable to a local privilege escalation in top. If a user runs top with HOME unset in an attacker-controlled directory, the attacker could achieve privilege escalation by exploiting one of several vulnerabilities in the config_file() function.
CVE-2018-1120 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more | 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 3.5 LOW | 2.8 LOW |
A flaw was found affecting the Linux kernel before version 4.17. By mmap()ing a FUSE-backed file onto a process's memory containing command line arguments (or environment strings), an attacker can cause utilities from psutils or procps (such as ps, w) or any other program which makes a read() call to the /proc/<pid>/cmdline (or /proc/<pid>/environ) files to block indefinitely (denial of service) or for some controlled time (as a synchronization primitive for other attacks). |
