CVE | Vendors | Products | Updated | CVSS v2 | CVSS v3 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
CVE-2006-5170 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat | 8 Debian Linux, Fedora Core, Enterprise Linux and 5 more | 2025-04-09 | 7.5 HIGH | N/A |
pam_ldap in nss_ldap on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, Fedora Core 3 and earlier, and possibly other distributions does not return an error condition when an LDAP directory server responds with a PasswordPolicyResponse control response, which causes the pam_authenticate function to return a success code even if authentication has failed, as originally reported for xscreensaver. | |||||
CVE-2007-6283 | 4 Centos, Fedoraproject, Oracle and 1 more | 9 Centos, Fedora Core, Linux and 6 more | 2025-04-09 | 4.9 MEDIUM | N/A |
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and Fedora install the Bind /etc/rndc.key file with world-readable permissions, which allows local users to perform unauthorized named commands, such as causing a denial of service by stopping named. | |||||
CVE-2022-0847 | 7 Fedoraproject, Linux, Netapp and 4 more | 39 Fedora, Linux Kernel, H300e and 36 more | 2025-04-08 | 7.2 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
A flaw was found in the way the "flags" member of the new pipe buffer structure was lacking proper initialization in copy_page_to_iter_pipe and push_pipe functions in the Linux kernel and could thus contain stale values. An unprivileged local user could use this flaw to write to pages in the page cache backed by read only files and as such escalate their privileges on the system. | |||||
CVE-2023-7250 | 2 Es, Redhat | 5 Iperf3, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux For Arm 64 and 2 more | 2025-04-07 | N/A | 5.3 MEDIUM |
A flaw was found in iperf, a utility for testing network performance using TCP, UDP, and SCTP. A malicious or malfunctioning client can send less than the expected amount of data to the iperf server, which can cause the server to hang indefinitely waiting for the remainder or until the connection gets closed. This will prevent other connections to the server, leading to a denial of service. | |||||
CVE-2019-0211 | 8 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 5 more | 27 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 24 more | 2025-04-04 | 7.2 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
In Apache HTTP Server 2.4 releases 2.4.17 to 2.4.38, with MPM event, worker or prefork, code executing in less-privileged child processes or threads (including scripts executed by an in-process scripting interpreter) could execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the parent process (usually root) by manipulating the scoreboard. Non-Unix systems are not affected. | |||||
CVE-2019-13272 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 25 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 22 more | 2025-04-03 | 7.2 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
In the Linux kernel before 5.1.17, ptrace_link in kernel/ptrace.c mishandles the recording of the credentials of a process that wants to create a ptrace relationship, which allows local users to obtain root access by leveraging certain scenarios with a parent-child process relationship, where a parent drops privileges and calls execve (potentially allowing control by an attacker). One contributing factor is an object lifetime issue (which can also cause a panic). Another contributing factor is incorrect marking of a ptrace relationship as privileged, which is exploitable through (for example) Polkit's pkexec helper with PTRACE_TRACEME. NOTE: SELinux deny_ptrace might be a usable workaround in some environments. | |||||
CVE-2021-4034 | 7 Canonical, Oracle, Polkit Project and 4 more | 31 Ubuntu Linux, Http Server, Zfs Storage Appliance Kit and 28 more | 2025-04-03 | 7.2 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
A local privilege escalation vulnerability was found on polkit's pkexec utility. The pkexec application is a setuid tool designed to allow unprivileged users to run commands as privileged users according predefined policies. The current version of pkexec doesn't handle the calling parameters count correctly and ends trying to execute environment variables as commands. An attacker can leverage this by crafting environment variables in such a way it'll induce pkexec to execute arbitrary code. When successfully executed the attack can cause a local privilege escalation given unprivileged users administrative rights on the target machine. | |||||
CVE-2024-9676 | 1 Redhat | 15 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Enterprise Linux For Arm 64 and 12 more | 2025-04-03 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
A vulnerability was found in Podman, Buildah, and CRI-O. A symlink traversal vulnerability in the containers/storage library can cause Podman, Buildah, and CRI-O to hang and result in a denial of service via OOM kill when running a malicious image using an automatically assigned user namespace (`--userns=auto` in Podman and Buildah). The containers/storage library will read /etc/passwd inside the container, but does not properly validate if that file is a symlink, which can be used to cause the library to read an arbitrary file on the host. | |||||
CVE-2024-1086 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 2 more | 15 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 12 more | 2025-04-02 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter: nf_tables component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. The nft_verdict_init() function allows positive values as drop error within the hook verdict, and hence the nf_hook_slow() function can cause a double free vulnerability when NF_DROP is issued with a drop error which resembles NF_ACCEPT. We recommend upgrading past commit f342de4e2f33e0e39165d8639387aa6c19dff660. | |||||
CVE-2022-4254 | 2 Fedoraproject, Redhat | 13 Sssd, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 10 more | 2025-03-27 | N/A | 8.8 HIGH |
sssd: libsss_certmap fails to sanitise certificate data used in LDAP filters | |||||
CVE-2019-8720 | 3 Redhat, Webkitgtk, Wpewebkit | 24 Codeready Linux Builder, Codeready Linux Builder Eus, Codeready Linux Builder For Arm64 Eus and 21 more | 2025-03-27 | N/A | 8.8 HIGH |
A vulnerability was found in WebKit. The flaw is triggered when processing maliciously crafted web content that may lead to arbitrary code execution. Improved memory handling addresses the multiple memory corruption issues. | |||||
CVE-2023-0494 | 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, X.org | 18 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Aus and 15 more | 2025-02-24 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
A vulnerability was found in X.Org. This issue occurs due to a dangling pointer in DeepCopyPointerClasses that can be exploited by ProcXkbSetDeviceInfo() and ProcXkbGetDeviceInfo() to read and write into freed memory. This can lead to local privilege elevation on systems where the X server runs privileged and remote code execution for ssh X forwarding sessions. | |||||
CVE-2024-1062 | 2 Fedoraproject, Redhat | 13 Fedora, 389 Directory Server, Directory Server and 10 more | 2025-02-18 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
A heap overflow flaw was found in 389-ds-base. This issue leads to a denial of service when writing a value larger than 256 chars in log_entry_attr. | |||||
CVE-2019-11043 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 23 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 20 more | 2025-02-14 | 7.5 HIGH | 8.7 HIGH |
In PHP versions 7.1.x below 7.1.33, 7.2.x below 7.2.24 and 7.3.x below 7.3.11 in certain configurations of FPM setup it is possible to cause FPM module to write past allocated buffers into the space reserved for FCGI protocol data, thus opening the possibility of remote code execution. | |||||
CVE-2019-5544 | 4 Fedoraproject, Openslp, Redhat and 1 more | 16 Fedora, Openslp, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 13 more | 2025-02-07 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
OpenSLP as used in ESXi and the Horizon DaaS appliances has a heap overwrite issue. VMware has evaluated the severity of this issue to be in the Critical severity range with a maximum CVSSv3 base score of 9.8. | |||||
CVE-2024-1488 | 2 Fedoraproject, Redhat | 19 Unbound, Codeready Linux Builder, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 16 more | 2025-01-30 | N/A | 8.0 HIGH |
A vulnerability was found in Unbound due to incorrect default permissions, allowing any process outside the unbound group to modify the unbound runtime configuration. If a process can connect over localhost to port 8953, it can alter the configuration of unbound.service. This flaw allows an unprivileged attacker to manipulate a running instance, potentially altering forwarders, allowing them to track all queries forwarded by the local resolver, and, in some cases, disrupting resolving altogether. | |||||
CVE-2023-4911 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 38 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 35 more | 2025-01-27 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
A buffer overflow was discovered in the GNU C Library's dynamic loader ld.so while processing the GLIBC_TUNABLES environment variable. This issue could allow a local attacker to use maliciously crafted GLIBC_TUNABLES environment variables when launching binaries with SUID permission to execute code with elevated privileges. | |||||
CVE-2022-24809 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Net-snmp and 1 more | 15 Debian Linux, Fedora, Net-snmp and 12 more | 2025-01-17 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
net-snmp provides various tools relating to the Simple Network Management Protocol. Prior to version 5.9.2, a user with read-only credentials can use a malformed OID in a `GET-NEXT` to the `nsVacmAccessTable` to cause a NULL pointer dereference. Version 5.9.2 contains a patch. Users should use strong SNMPv3 credentials and avoid sharing the credentials. Those who must use SNMPv1 or SNMPv2c should use a complex community string and enhance the protection by restricting access to a given IP address range. | |||||
CVE-2022-24808 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Net-snmp and 1 more | 15 Debian Linux, Fedora, Net-snmp and 12 more | 2025-01-17 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
