CVE-2021-29265 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2024-11-21 | 4.7 MEDIUM | 4.7 MEDIUM |
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 5.11.7. usbip_sockfd_store in drivers/usb/usbip/stub_dev.c allows attackers to cause a denial of service (GPF) because the stub-up sequence has race conditions during an update of the local and shared status, aka CID-9380afd6df70.
CVE-2021-28964 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more | 9 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 6 more | 2024-11-21 | 1.9 LOW | 4.7 MEDIUM |
A race condition was discovered in get_old_root in fs/btrfs/ctree.c in the Linux kernel through 5.11.8. It allows attackers to cause a denial of service (BUG) because of a lack of locking on an extent buffer before a cloning operation, aka CID-dbcc7d57bffc.
CVE-2021-28701 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Xen | 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Xen | 2024-11-21 | 4.4 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
Another race in XENMAPSPACE_grant_table handling Guests are permitted access to certain Xen-owned pages of memory. The majority of such pages remain allocated / associated with a guest for its entire lifetime. Grant table v2 status pages, however, are de-allocated when a guest switches (back) from v2 to v1. Freeing such pages requires that the hypervisor enforce that no parallel request can result in the addition of a mapping of such a page to a guest. That enforcement was missing, allowing guests to retain access to pages that were freed and perhaps re-used for other purposes. Unfortunately, when XSA-379 was being prepared, this similar issue was not noticed.
CVE-2021-28697 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Xen | 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Xen | 2024-11-21 | 4.6 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
grant table v2 status pages may remain accessible after de-allocation Guest get permitted access to certain Xen-owned pages of memory. The majority of such pages remain allocated / associated with a guest for its entire lifetime. Grant table v2 status pages, however, get de-allocated when a guest switched (back) from v2 to v1. The freeing of such pages requires that the hypervisor know where in the guest these pages were mapped. The hypervisor tracks only one use within guest space, but racing requests from the guest to insert mappings of these pages may result in any of them to become mapped in multiple locations. Upon switching back from v2 to v1, the guest would then retain access to a page that was freed and perhaps re-used for other purposes.
CVE-2021-27925 | 1 Couchbase | 1 Couchbase Server | 2024-11-21 | 3.5 LOW | 4.4 MEDIUM |
An issue was discovered in Couchbase Server 6.5.x and 6.6.x through 6.6.1. When using the View Engine and Auditing is enabled, a crash condition can (depending on a race condition) cause an internal user with administrator privileges, @ns_server, to have its credentials leaked in cleartext in the ns_server.info.log file.
CVE-2021-27216 | 1 Exim | 1 Exim | 2024-11-21 | 6.3 MEDIUM | 6.3 MEDIUM |
Exim 4 before 4.94.2 has Execution with Unnecessary Privileges. By leveraging a delete_pid_file race condition, a local user can delete arbitrary files as root. This involves the -oP and -oPX options.
CVE-2021-25158 | 2 Arubanetworks, Siemens | 3 Instant, Scalance W1750d, Scalance W1750d Firmware | 2024-11-21 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
A remote arbitrary file read vulnerability was discovered in some Aruba Instant Access Point (IAP) products in version(s): Aruba Instant 6.5.x: 6.5.4.18 and below; Aruba Instant 8.3.x: 8.3.0.14 and below; Aruba Instant 8.5.x: 8.5.0.11 and below; Aruba Instant 8.6.x: 8.6.0.7 and below; Aruba Instant 8.7.x: 8.7.1.1 and below. Aruba has released patches for Aruba Instant that address this security vulnerability.
CVE-2021-24377 | 1 Autoptimize | 1 Autoptimize | 2024-11-21 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.1 HIGH |
The Autoptimize WordPress plugin before 2.7.8 attempts to remove potential malicious files from the extracted archive uploaded via the 'Import Settings' feature, however this is not sufficient to protect against RCE as a race condition can be achieved in between the moment the file is extracted on the disk but not yet removed. It is a bypass of CVE-2020-24948.
CVE-2021-24000 | 1 Mozilla | 1 Firefox | 2024-11-21 | 2.6 LOW | 3.1 LOW |
A race condition with requestPointerLock() and setTimeout() could have resulted in a user interacting with one tab when they believed they were on a separate tab. In conjunction with certain elements (such as <input type="file">) this could have led to an attack where a user was confused about the origin of the webpage and potentially disclosed information they did not intend to. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 88.
CVE-2021-23133 | 5 Broadcom, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 24 Brocade Fabric Operating System, Debian Linux, Fedora and 21 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.9 MEDIUM | 6.7 MEDIUM |
A race condition in Linux kernel SCTP sockets (net/sctp/socket.c) before 5.12-rc8 can lead to kernel privilege escalation from the context of a network service or an unprivileged process. If sctp_destroy_sock is called without sock_net(sk)->sctp.addr_wq_lock then an element is removed from the auto_asconf_splist list without any proper locking. This can be exploited by an attacker with network service privileges to escalate to root or from the context of an unprivileged user directly if a BPF_CGROUP_INET_SOCK_CREATE is attached which denies creation of some SCTP socket.
CVE-2021-22974 | 1 F5 | 15 Big-ip Access Policy Manager, Big-ip Advanced Firewall Manager, Big-ip Advanced Web Application Firewall and 12 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
On BIG-IP version 16.0.x before 16.0.1.1, 15.1.x before 15.1.2, 14.1.x before 14.1.3.1, and 13.1.x before 13.1.3.6 and all versions of BIG-IQ 7.x and 6.x, an authenticated attacker with access to iControl REST over the control plane may be able to take advantage of a race condition to execute commands with an elevated privilege level. This vulnerability is due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2017-6167. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Software Development (EoSD) are not evaluated.
