CVE-2025-40301 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-08 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_event: validate skb length for unknown CC opcode In hci_cmd_complete_evt(), if the command complete event has an unknown opcode, we assume the first byte of the remaining skb->data contains the return status. However, parameter data has previously been pulled in hci_event_func(), which may leave the skb empty. If so, using skb->data[0] for the return status uses un-init memory. The fix is to check skb->len before using skb->data.
CVE-2025-40299 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gve: Implement gettimex64 with -EOPNOTSUPP gve implemented a ptp_clock for sole use of do_aux_work at this time. ptp_clock_gettime() and ptp_sys_offset() assume every ptp_clock has implemented either gettimex64 or gettime64. Stub gettimex64 and return -EOPNOTSUPP to prevent NULL dereferencing.
CVE-2025-40292 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-08 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio-net: fix received length check in big packets Since commit 4959aebba8c0 ("virtio-net: use mtu size as buffer length for big packets"), when guest gso is off, the allocated size for big packets is not MAX_SKB_FRAGS * PAGE_SIZE anymore but depends on negotiated MTU. The number of allocated frags for big packets is stored in vi->big_packets_num_skbfrags. Because the host announced buffer length can be malicious (e.g. the host vhost_net driver's get_rx_bufs is modified to announce incorrect length), we need a check in virtio_net receive path. Currently, the check is not adapted to the new change which can lead to NULL page pointer dereference in the below while loop when receiving length that is larger than the allocated one. This commit fixes the received length check corresponding to the new change.
CVE-2025-40291 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-08 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring: fix regbuf vector size truncation There is a report of io_estimate_bvec_size() truncating the calculated number of segments that leads to corruption issues. Check it doesn't overflow "int"s used later. Rough but simple, can be improved on top.
CVE-2025-40321 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-08 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: brcmfmac: fix crash while sending Action Frames in standalone AP Mode Currently, whenever there is a need to transmit an Action frame, the brcmfmac driver always uses the P2P vif to send the "actframe" IOVAR to firmware. The P2P interfaces were available when wpa_supplicant is managing the wlan interface. However, the P2P interfaces are not created/initialized when only hostapd is managing the wlan interface. And if hostapd receives an ANQP Query REQ Action frame even from an un-associated STA, the brcmfmac driver tries to use an uninitialized P2P vif pointer for sending the IOVAR to firmware. This NULL pointer dereferencing triggers a driver crash. [ 1417.074538] Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 0000000000000000 [...] [ 1417.075188] Hardware name: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.5 (DT) [...] [ 1417.075653] Call trace: [ 1417.075662] brcmf_p2p_send_action_frame+0x23c/0xc58 [brcmfmac] [ 1417.075738] brcmf_cfg80211_mgmt_tx+0x304/0x5c0 [brcmfmac] [ 1417.075810] cfg80211_mlme_mgmt_tx+0x1b0/0x428 [cfg80211] [ 1417.076067] nl80211_tx_mgmt+0x238/0x388 [cfg80211] [ 1417.076281] genl_family_rcv_msg_doit+0xe0/0x158 [ 1417.076302] genl_rcv_msg+0x220/0x2a0 [ 1417.076317] netlink_rcv_skb+0x68/0x140 [ 1417.076330] genl_rcv+0x40/0x60 [ 1417.076343] netlink_unicast+0x330/0x3b8 [ 1417.076357] netlink_sendmsg+0x19c/0x3f8 [ 1417.076370] __sock_sendmsg+0x64/0xc0 [ 1417.076391] ____sys_sendmsg+0x268/0x2a0 [ 1417.076408] ___sys_sendmsg+0xb8/0x118 [ 1417.076427] __sys_sendmsg+0x90/0xf8 [ 1417.076445] __arm64_sys_sendmsg+0x2c/0x40 [ 1417.076465] invoke_syscall+0x50/0x120 [ 1417.076486] el0_svc_common.constprop.0+0x48/0xf0 [ 1417.076506] do_el0_svc+0x24/0x38 [ 1417.076525] el0_svc+0x30/0x100 [ 1417.076548] el0t_64_sync_handler+0x100/0x130 [ 1417.076569] el0t_64_sync+0x190/0x198 [ 1417.076589] Code: f9401e80 aa1603e2 f9403be1 5280e483 (f9400000) Fix this, by always using the vif corresponding to the wdev on which the Action frame Transmission request was initiated by the userspace. This way, even if P2P vif is not available, the IOVAR is sent to firmware on AP vif and the ANQP Query RESP Action frame is transmitted without crashing the driver. Move init_completion() for "send_af_done" from brcmf_p2p_create_p2pdev() to brcmf_p2p_attach(). Because the former function would not get executed when only hostapd is managing wlan interface, and it is not safe to do reinit_completion() later in brcmf_p2p_tx_action_frame(), without any prior init_completion(). And in the brcmf_p2p_tx_action_frame() function, the condition check for P2P Presence response frame is not needed, since the wpa_supplicant is properly sending the P2P Presense Response frame on the P2P-GO vif instead of the P2P-Device vif. CVE-2025-40320 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-08 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix potential cfid UAF in smb2_query_info_compound When smb2_query_info_compound() retries, a previously allocated cfid may have been freed in the first attempt. Because cfid wasn't reset on replay, later cleanup could act on a stale pointer, leading to a potential use-after-free. Reinitialize cfid to NULL under the replay label. CVE-2025-40319 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Sync pending IRQ work before freeing ring buffer Fix a race where irq_work can be queued in bpf_ringbuf_commit() but the ring buffer is freed before the work executes. In the syzbot reproducer, a BPF program attached to sched_switch triggers bpf_ringbuf_commit(), queuing an irq_work. If the ring buffer is freed before this work executes, the irq_work thread may accesses freed memory. Calling `irq_work_sync(&rb->work)` ensures that all pending irq_work complete before freeing the buffer.
CVE-2025-40318 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-08 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: fix race in hci_cmd_sync_dequeue_once hci_cmd_sync_dequeue_once() does lookup and then cancel the entry under two separate lock sections. Meanwhile, hci_cmd_sync_work() can also delete the same entry, leading to double list_del() and "UAF". Fix this by holding cmd_sync_work_lock across both lookup and cancel, so that the entry cannot be removed concurrently.

The wcd934x codec seems to be the only or the first user of devm_regmap_init_slimbus() but we should fix it till the point where __devm_regmap_init_slimbus() was introduced therefore two "Fixes" tags. While at this, also correct the same argument in __regmap_init_slimbus().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/mediatek: Fix device use-after-free on unbind A recent change fixed device reference leaks when looking up drm platform device driver data during bind() but failed to remove a partial fix which had been added by commit 80805b62ea5b ("drm/mediatek: Fix kobject put for component sub-drivers"). This results in a reference imbalance on component bind() failures and on unbind() which could lead to a user-after-free. Make sure to only drop the references after retrieving the driver data by effectively reverting the previous partial fix. Note that holding a reference to a device does not prevent its driver data from going away so there is no point in keeping the reference.

CVE-2022-50625 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-08 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: amba-pl011: avoid SBSA UART accessing DMACR register Chapter "B Generic UART" in "ARM Server Base System Architecture" [1] documentation describes a generic UART interface. Such generic UART does not support DMA. In current code, sbsa_uart_pops and amba_pl011_pops share the same stop_rx operation, which will invoke pl011_dma_rx_stop, leading to an access of the DMACR register. This commit adds a using_rx_dma check in pl011_dma_rx_stop to avoid the access to DMACR register for SBSA UARTs which does not support DMA. When the kernel enables DMA engine with "CONFIG_DMA_ENGINE=y", Linux SBSA PL011 driver will access PL011 DMACR register in some functions. For most real SBSA Pl011 hardware implementations, the DMACR write behaviour will be ignored. So these DMACR operations will not cause obvious problems. But for some virtual SBSA PL011 hardware, like Xen virtual SBSA PL011 (vpl011) device, the behaviour might be different. Xen vpl011 emulation will inject a data abort to guest, when guest is accessing an unimplemented UART register. As Xen VPL011 is SBSA compatible, it will not implement DMACR register. So when Linux SBSA PL011 driver access DMACR register, it will get an unhandled data abort fault and the application will get a segmentation fault: Unhandled fault at 0xffffffc00944d048 Mem abort info: ESR = 0x96000000 EC = 0x25: DABT (current EL), IL = 32 bits SET = 0, FnV = 0 EA = 0, S1PTW = 0 FSC = 0x00: ttbr address size fault Data abort info: ISV = 0, ISS = 0x00000000 CM = 0, WnR = 0 swapper pgtable: 4k pages, 39-bit VAs, pgdp=0000000020e2e000 [ffffffc00944d048] pgd=100000003ffff803, p4d=100000003ffff803, pud=100000003ffff803, pmd=100000003fffa803, pte=006800009c090f13 Internal error: ttbr address size fault: 96000000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP ... CVE-2022-50618 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-08 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: meson-gx: fix return value check of mmc_add_host() mmc_add_host() may return error, if we ignore its return value, it will lead two issues: 1. The memory that allocated in mmc_alloc_host() is leaked. 2. In the remove() path, mmc_remove_host() will be called to delete device, but it's not added yet, it will lead a kernel crash because of null-ptr-deref in device_del(). Fix this by checking the return value and goto error path which will call mmc_free_host().
